Jersey Shore Views...: Celebrate New Jersey's Maritime Heritage...

Celebrate New Jersey's Maritime Heritage...

Beginning Monday, August 4th through Sunday the 10th check out the Tuckerton SeaportIt's the  NJ Annual Maritime Heritage Festival

The Tuckerton Seaport is located in southern Ocean County, just off the Parkway(Exit 58) on Route 9.

Located in Tuckerton, formerly known as Clamtown, Tuckerton is Ocean County's keeper of coastal history!

The annual event provides a maritime history of A-cats, sneak boxes, recreational fishing, lifesaving, ship wrecks and speed garveys.  But you can also learn about pirates and privateers!

This is a great opportunity to learn more about those who loved the Pinelands and the Jersey Shore well before we got here!

The Seaport Museum offers a rich coastal history, written from interviews with those whose families lived it and are living it!  It's life on the Barnegat Bay, and back into the Pines!

This is a great museum. It's keeping alive the history of the Barnegat Baymen's (and women's) life on the Barnegat Bay!

It's going to be a great time.  The NJ Maritime Festival begins Monday, August 4th.

SEE YOU THERE!!

Morning Laura,

Looks like an interesting and fun time for all that plan to attend. Will you be there taking part?

Sounds good to me too. Would love to ride over there and check it out. Laura is there a set time from 9-5?
