I'm sure some fared much worse...and we can't really say that it's done.
But for the most part, the mainland Jersey Shore experienced winds and bands of heavy rain.
(I think that's Weather Channel talk!)
It's been heaven for little Diego...He loves sticks and acorns!
And this morning they're everywhere!
We only lost power for about three hours...thank you Atlantic Electric! And thanks for all the well wishes...I now send them out to my neighbors to the north!

Glad to see you fared well. we are getting ready here.. I am in Hartford County area...it is still coming..
Glad to see you made it through. Know it is NY's turn.
Laura - you photo looks much like my backyard. Laughed out loud when I read you "weather" talk and like Diego, Lucy loves all the sticks too! Glad you fared well through Irene!
Glad to see that you came through with only a few sticks and acorns downed, Laura.
I heard Irene had been downgraded, I hope that made things less of a problem.
Great news Laura, looked like you got hit pretty hard, we got off easy in NH, lost power for a while, but all is good here. Diego is so cute playing with the stick.
Nice pictures, and I know he must love all the sticks and smells that are abound!
Laura, looks like you came through without much of a hitch.
