It's a Great Day! (Wordless Wednesday)

Today was a great day.  I stole a half hour and went to the beach, just one of the benefits of living at the Jersey Shore.  The water was a little rough, but it was lovely.

The crowds haven't arrived yet, however there plenty of people fishing, and all those north Jersey high school students cutting school to go Down the Shore!

I'm usually a Surf City or Ship Bottom kind of gal, but today's photos are from Long Beach Township

The Ocean was a little rough

I could have stayed for hours!

There's just about a week left to get pre season beach badge prices on Long Beach Island! Beach badges will be required on all beaches in mid June through Labor Day.

Today was an absolutely wonderful day Laura!  I love that you were able to sneak away to the beach for a little break.   Gorgeous photos....Maybe tomorrow, I can break away for a little beach fix.  Hope your evening is great too!

Hi Laura - It WAS such a great day today after so many days of rain.  I had showings along the shore myself, so I got to peek at the waves once or twice.  I loved smelling the salt water!

I have a hard time doing this...I usually need more time to make it worth while

Laura...those photos are fantastic; can't you see any one or all of them blown-up to the 5' -6' size and mounted on wooden frames --unseen. You could take your oils and build up the white caps, rough brown-blues of the log or walkway.  I know that they would sell.  Give it a try someday.  These are too good to simply put in some album .  Have a great week.

Hi Laura, I love those photos. When you go back to that spot, do a close up ( macro ) of one of the pilings, it would make for an excellent shot.

Great pictures!  What is the pier for?  And what is a beach badge?  Do you have to pay to go on the beach?

Laura - the water is so clean and clear is looks almost like the Caribbean. Personally, I love the Jersey Shore before the crowds get there on Memorial Day - it's still so pristine and perfect for taking photos just like these.

Laura ~ I am still getting over that badge thing...lol  I would steal more than a half hour if I lived near the beach.  I love the photos you took of the waves.  Your very lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
