Homes for Sale in Barnegat - Barnegat NJ Housing Market Report - February, 2011

There were an average of 300 homes for sale in Barnegat in February, 2011.  That up from the January, 2011 Barnegat Homes for Sale Report.  The median price of sold homes in Barnegat increased in February over January.  That's primarily due to the sale of several condos in January, which brought down the prices reported by the Jersey Shore Multiple Listing Service.

Interesting report. In Montgomery County, MD, we have a little over 3,000 active listings of homes for sale. 4% of them are lender owned foreclosures and 19% are short sale offerings. The short sale listings distort the market because a high percentage of them will never reach settlement.

Blooming for home buyers this spring.

Nice Laura, look at the increase in sales and reduction in days on market...encouraging information.

Wow Laura - you are up early and you know what they say - the early bird catches the worm! Go get um girl! Looks like the market is looking up in your part of NJ - now it just has to spread North to my area!

Good morning, Laura, this is an excellent market report for your area.  Buyers and sellers are certainly out in the market place and reports such as this provide excellent information for them.

Roy-My market has a significant number of short sales, and because those aren't closing as they should, we'll be seeing them as foreclsoures.

Rene-I think we're finding the new normal.

Kristine-I hope it's not just the Jersey Shore spring!

Barbara-Thanks.

Laura....you did get up and online early--good for you. The lists show that 2011 saw a slight decrease in median price, but a better showing of fewer day on market & more listings.  THOSE are great items.
Have a great week.   [Get some sleep  LOL]
