We're New Jersey & Proud of It!

We're mad as hell, and can't take it anymore! A humorous take on Garden State life!

Many New Jersey residents have put up with Jersey Jokes (what exit, etc) their whole lives and have learned to ignore the boorish comments.  But some residents and business people have had enough and created a website to express Garden State Pride!

The site — JerseyDoesntStink.com — is designed to rally those who are tired of the putdowns about pollution, wisecracks about wise guys, and cheap (but often true) shots about corruption.

With companion Facebook and Twitter pages, state residents can sound off online in defense of their home state.  Join us!

New Jersey is like any other area in the nation, it has some not so attractive areas of industry and areas of pure natural beauty.

My advice is don't focus so much energy on the negative and get defensive.

Focus on all the good your state has to offer like the beaches of Island Beach State Park, or the great state parks, ski areas, hunting, fishing, farming (Jersey corn!!!) Rich History.

I think anyone who thinks Jersey stinks just hasn't had the opportunity to see some of it's beauty.

Of course being a former New Yorker, I'm supposed to say Jersey stinks. But I've been there enough to know better.

Laura...that is a comment I have heard for years. But most every town has it's blemish.

Hello Laura - I never understood why New Jersey has  a bad reputation.  I see it all the time in the movies though.
