In an effort to make more people aware of the millions of pets in need of good homes, the US Postal Service is beginning the ‘Stamps to the Rescue’ campaign!
Starting April 30th stamps featuring the photographs of pets rescued from shelters will go on sale.
.
.
. This campaign continues the USPS history of raising awareness of serious social issues through commemorative stamps.
The ten stamp photos (5 dogs and 5 cats) were all adopted in photographer Susan Anderson-Bruce’s hometown of New Milford, Connecticut.

Thanks for sharing Laura. Gives me a whole new outlook on the USPS.
Kudos to the USPS for another "raising awareness" campaign. I'll bet if they raised the price one penny and then donated that penny to shelters across the country, people would still buy them.
Craig, thanks for showing me this..I did miss it!
Laura, great post! I am going to check it out for sure!!
Dear Laura,
These are precious! I am so running to the post office to pick some up! Thanks for keeping us in the know!

HI Laura...it is sad how many pets are dropped off and unwanted after a short while. This is a good campaign
We send snail mail monthly to several groups....we will request these stamps next month...thanks for the "paws up" !
Laura,
Thanks for sharing this with us. It is actually a very good campaign. I am a novice stamp collector, so I'll check this out
Thanks for the heads-up Laura, I am getting ready to send out a big direct mail campaign aand I always use a different type stamp so I will purchase a lot.
