What the Blip? Way Too Much Information!

What the Blip...

I have done my best to keep up with advances in client conact through various social media, but this one step too far.  The newest entry into to apparent need for people to share personal information (way too much IMHO)?

Blippy joins Facebook and Twitter.

Blippy is a service that allows you to automatically share your credit card transactions as you make them. This includes the place you made the purchase, the amount, and in some cases, the item. This is all placed in a social stream where other Blippy users can comment on and “like” the various items.

Call me old school, but this is way too much information!

     CHECK IT OUT!

Seems like there is a website for everything now. Have a great Friday.

What the blippy is right! Marketers will have a field day tracking the chatter. Thanks for the heads up on this new public expression of consumption through technology.

I had heard of blippy and wonder who would want to share such information online.

I don't understand the need to share everything with everyone?? Scary...

That is a new one...I would think people would have more interesting things to share than their own shopping habits.

Laura, I have heard of Blippy, but never new what it was.  I'm trying to understand this need to share and can't come up with anything that sounds logical.  Unless it's the posters way of saying "look at me".  As Gita said; "who would want to share such information"?  Indeed and why??  What's wrong with this picture?

Unbelievable beyond belief! Not sure I want any one to have that much info about my shopping habits. Even harder to believe that any one would care!

I agree with you, way too much info.  No one needs that much info!

Forget that...I would be surprised if Blippy is around for very long. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to share cc information online like that. Very strange that it would even become a business model.

Pretty soon we'll know when your BFF farted, picked their nose . . . stupid people with nothing better to do with their time.

This doesn't sound like one that I will be interested in joining at all. I believe that people share a little too much information as it is.
