It's Manahawkin's Green Tree Garden Center & Landscaping for All Your Gardening Needs in Southern Ocean County!

Green Tree Garden Center and Landscaping in Manahawkin, NJ provides area residents with healthy indoor and outdoor plants, as well as great landscape design.  Located at 1412 Route 72 (just past the WaWa) in Manahawkin, I'm always stopping by to check out the shrubs and trees, and to chat about my small garden.

My TomatoesYesterday's visit was to pick up organic fertilizer for my tomato plants.
They're having a tough summer. Loads of tomatoes early on, but nothing new!
I found out from Jim Ruta, owner of Green Tree Garden Center, that I'm not alone.  It's the wet summer at the Jersey Shore that's caused many a home gardener problems with their crops.

Manahawkin's Green Tree Garden Center and Landscaping offers a full range of organic fertilizers for everything from flowers to tomatoes.  It's the great service and information that they provide that sets Green Tree Garden Center apart from the big box stores selling plants and fertilizers.

Green Tree even provides information  from the Save the Barnegat Bay organization and Clean Ocean Action aimed at lessening the impact on the Barnegat Bay from excessive nitrogen.  Nitrogen from fertilizer run off is causing big problems in the Bay, suffocating the eco system!

Jim Ruta is a Landscape Architect and runs Green Tree Garden Center and Landscaping in Manahawkin with his family. Green Tree has hard workers and quality plants and plant materials (They also install pavers!).
Jim will work with you to design a flower garden, or a garden with indigenous plants that won't require excessive watering or soil maintenance...A good for the environment garden!
Green Tree is open daily and you can reach the Garden Center at 609-597-5229.

ToulaRosebrock,comHi Laura:

Nice information on local Manahawkin businesses...

I've never stopped there, I'll need to do that the next time I'm on 72.

Laura, that's a nice blog on the local business; and good luck with your tomatoes.  We're having a really really wet season here too. My 3 feet of garden is underwater and dying.  I can't win.  I let them die of thirst or nature kills them with too much water.  Apparently we'll be getting some real sunshine soon - and no rain.  Good luck.

Morning Laura,

Nice information and pictures. Thanks for sharing. You should know, however, that the tomato capitol of the world is just down the road from me. Yours look close to being a competitor. LOL
