You certainly can't say we in New Jersey aren't polite.
If you've driven in New Jersey, you might think we're impatient and impolite. That's just not true, as long as you follow our rules of the road. But in almost all other aspects of life in New Jersey, we watch our manners.
Take for example a burglar chased from a home in Raway, NJ (north and west of my corner of the Jersey Shore). The suspect dropped the backpack he had stuffed with a couple of laptops and an Xbox when the homeowner caught him in the act and gave chase! That was back on June 29th.
Well fast forward a few weeks, and the home owner answers a knock at the door. It's none other than the would be burglar, apologizing for the break-in and fleeing on foot!

The police apprehend the courteous burglar and, for his well meaning apology, charged him with that burglary and another!
See in New Jersey, even our burglars are polite!

I think Darwin had people like that in mind! Ya cant fix stupid, can ya???
Laura, a burglar with a conscience - at least his mind will be clear while sitting in jail.
LOL Laura. Thanks for the chuckle. Talk about dumb and dumber ... dumbest? :)
Very polite people in NJ, for sure.
I have been to Jersey a few times and was always impressed with how nice everyone is.
;)
New Jerseyites AND New Yorkers alike always get a bum rap.
But, all in all, we're just good folks who suffer becuase of the few who ruin it for everyone else.
By the way, that burglar was not only polite, he was stupid too!
Neither of which will help him in jail!
Polite? or Stupid? Well if it wasn't for stupididty, there would be a lot more unsolved crimes!
Alright, I'm not saying you should go out and rob people, but if you get away with it you certainly don't come back.
