Buying a Short Sale is Not Like Cooking Spaghetti!

Buying a Short Sale is Not Like Cooking Spaghetti!

chef (sxc-ricardo vasquez) Everybody's heard of the cooking method to tell when spaghetti is done.  If you haven't, this method tells you to throw a piece of the pasta against wall.  If it sticks, it's done!

I'm finding many home buyers, acting like pasta chefs.

If you're a buyer, and want to buy a short sale home, then get serious.  Do your homework.  Study the comps.  Estimate the repair costs.  Examine your finances.  Make an offer.

Don't have your agent tell me, as he's presenting the contract, "He'll come up if he has to."

Are you a serious home buyer or are you just throwing spaghetti against the wall to see if it sticks?

Key (sxc-Antonio carlos cascatrina) If you're serious, then act like it!  Prove that you've done your homework and are ready to move forward.

Nobody wants to pay a penny more than a home is worth.  But if you and your REALTOR® have done the research, you can submit a contract that demonstrates that you are serious, and willing to move forward with a short sale purchase.
